How to Delete an eSIM on iPhone and Android (Safely)

How to delete an eSIM safely: when to remove a plan, iPhone and Android steps, and why you should not delete an active RoameSIM without a backup plan.

Updated: 26 August, 2026 RoameSIM Team Troubleshooting

TL;DR: Delete a travel eSIM only when you are done with it. Removing an active RoameSIM profile usually means you cannot scan the same QR again.

Before you delete

Delete eSIM on iPhone

  1. Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data.
  2. Tap the travel plan.
  3. Delete eSIM / Remove Mobile Plan → Confirm.

Delete eSIM on Android / Samsung

  1. Settings → Connections → SIM manager (or Network & internet → SIMs).
  2. Select the eSIM → Remove / Delete.

After deletion

Label confusion drops, battery impact from extra radios can improve slightly, and your dual-SIM list is cleaner. Need data again? Buy a new RoameSIM plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does deleting an eSIM refund unused data?

No. Removing the profile does not refund remaining data. See our Refund Policy.

Can I reinstall after deleting?

Usually not with the same QR. Read Can I reinstall a deleted eSIM.

When should I delete a travel eSIM?

After the trip when the plan expired, or when the line clutters dual-SIM settings and you no longer need it.

Will deleting my home carrier eSIM wipe my number?

Yes if that profile is your primary line. Only remove travel profiles you intend to discard.
